First Meeting with Home Study Director Tomorrow

We’re looking forward to our first meeting with our Home Study Director tomorrow morning at 9:30.  During this meeting we’ll learn more about the home study process and talk about our timeline.  The home study can be completed in as little as 4-6 weeks.  However, we are happy to take our time, and have our own goal of completing the home study by January.  After attending a conference about attachment, we feel that it’s important for our youngest child to be a little older when we bring our adopted child home.  This just seems to be what is best for our family.

This month, we learned that our first installment is due to our agency before we begin our home study.  We are definitely experiencing a little adoption cost sticker shock at this point.  However, we believe God has called us to adopt and we believe He will provide the funds to make it happen, even if He has to turn the carpet into cash 🙂

Goody Goody Gum Drops is doing well.  We will be participating in two craft shows in early November, and we hope the profits from those two shows will provide what we need to cover the cost of the first agency installment and our home study fees.

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.  Besides adoption, we feel like we have a lot going on in our lives; all good, but busy none the less.  We feel blessed to have three wonderful, healthy children who keep us humble and on our toes 🙂  Thank you for walking this journey with us!  Your love, prayers and well wishes are mean the world to us!
